Analyze Mac storage: where did the space go?

Under Storage, macOS often shows a large, opaque “System Data” (or “Other”) block. FreeSize makes visible what's actually behind it — folder by folder, largest first.

   Look especially inside your home folder: Library/Caches, Library/Application Support, Xcode data under Library/Developer, the Photos library, Mail attachments, and old iOS backups under Library/Application Support/MobileSync.

   Open in Finder and clean up

   Click a large item to open it in Finder, check it, and delete what you no longer need. FreeSize is read-only — it never deletes anything itself.

Quick tips for macOS

• Caches regenerate — only clear them when space is tight, and quit the app first.
